In recent months, the regionally known playground Roeffen Mart in Grubbenvorst has been the victim of theft and vandalism several times. Twice expensive swings were stolen. In addition, a climbing castle was set on fire. The police are investigating the incidents but the chances of finding the perpetrators are considered slim.

A regional group of entrepreneurs, including Staalmeesters, was so touched by the news that they decided to jointly lend the playground a helping hand by means of camera surveillance.

On Saturday, June 16, the new camera system was officially inaugurated by Aldermen Birgit op de Laak and Han Geurts. The surveillance of the playground is made possible by EWS Solutions (cameras), Eye Watch Security Group (control room and alarm monitoring) and by our organization, Staalmeesters (camera masts).
